The Homecoming
The rain stopped & the sun came out for Nicholas!
Nick's "Brother", Labrador Retriever Jake, was proud of the Graduate and wanted to be in a few photos!

Time for some "True Texas BBQ" for the Graduation feast... brisket, rack of ribs, turkey & the classic Nick staple,
Mac'N'Cheese!!!
Graduation Celebration Cake, Cookies and Ice Cream followed, and how fitting that the Portland Trailblazers were on tv... Time for Nick to "Blaze Them Trails!"
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!
Live the life you have imagined.
Believe in yourself, and you will never lose.

Nick's Graduation Party
5/29/21
Nick's Dad Jason, and Jason's parents - Grandma and Gramps - did an AMAZING job putting on the graduation party. The scrapbook above of Nick's life completed by Grandma is a true testament to all of the wonderful memories of years gone by and hours spent memorializing highlights of these times into this impressive collection.
Nick's Graduation Party was a big success!
Akins Early College High School Senior Parade
5/27/21
Our vehicle all decked out for the Senior Class of 2021 Parade, complete with Graduation fun, Akins High School and University of Texas decor.
It was wonderful seeing Grandma & Gramps from Kingsland, who said they wouldn't have missed this for anything!!
Also fabulous seeing Kristine and AJ from Kansas City, along with Liz from Bastrop along the parade route!
We had a mini fiesta after the parade and enjoyed food, cake, ice cream and lots of good times and laughs with the familia Liz, Kris & AJ!

Seniors 2021 - Some have a STORY, Some have a LEGACY, WE HAD A PANDEMIC... Top That!
Nick is majoring in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin, School of Natural Sciences!
He has attained scholarships and grants to help cover the costs of working towards graduating in the UT Class of 2025
It feels like we have come full circle since Nicholas graduated from Preschool on the University of Texas Campus back in 2008!
Nick loved learning, playing and having fun on the Forty Acres! The playground was just a few steps from famous Texas Memorial Stadium where the Texas Longhorns football team plays.
Recently, we went back to visit his Preschool at the Child Development Center on UT Campus. What great memories!
On to the next school,
